A modality that comes to mind when most people think of massage. As the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. If a client has booked a Swedish massage, knots will not be addressed as the assumption is that the client just wants to bliss out and relax.

We include some of the relaxation components of a Swedish, but also a deeper, more focused work where knots and tension are presenting in muscles. Pressure is mixed – some light, some medium and a little bit of deep where needed to address problem areas.

A type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes are used as classic Therapeutic Massage, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain. If a client receives over 30 minutes of focused deep pressure during a session, that is a Deep Tissue Massage.

Our prenatal massage provides gentle, nurturing touch to ease the unique stresses of pregnancy. Our practitioners are certified in prenatal massage therapy and use safe and supportive positioning and light to moderate pressure to relieve tension, reduce swelling, and promote relaxation. Sessions can begin at 12 weeks of pregnancy.

Trigger Point Therapy targets painful "muscle knots" (hyperirritable spots in tight muscle bands) that cause localized or referred pain in the body. In using sustained pressure, the “pin and hold” method, and massage techniques, trigger point therapy allows the body to release tension, improve blood flow, break up knots, and restore normal muscle function back to the body therefore relieving chronic pain from overuse, stress, or poor posture. It's effective for muscle soreness, headaches, and limited range of motion, addressing the root cause of muscle dysfunction for lasting relief.
Available in 30 or 60 minute sessions.
60 minute sessions include a deep tissue massage. -
Our current experience is done in separate rooms rather than both in one room. We have found that our clients get a much better result if they receive their treatments separately and then come together after for a session in our infrared sauna or Himalayan Salt room.

Pair a standard massage treatment with out Bio Mat. The BioMat is a device that uses far infrared rays, negative ions, PEMF(grounding) and amethyst & Jade crystals for detoxification, grounding and other health benefits. It can increase circulation (helps with detoxification) improve blood flow, alleviate pain, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation.
After a BioMat session you may feel; Relaxed and stress free as the soothing heat invites relaxation, tired as the heat invites relaxation, easier breathing as sessions can relieve chest congestion, possible queasiness or nausea if the session is too long or heat set is too high. You may not feel anything directly immediately after your session as effects are internal and can be subtle. The best effects are achieved with multiple use and will happen when you start low and slow and increase over time.

This treatment will combine Darrah's many years and many certifications into one amazing two hour session! The session will include Therapeutic Massage, Lymphatic Drainage and may also include; Reflexology, Craniosacral & Energy Work. The session will take place on a Biomat. We strongly suggest clients be well hydrated for this session. Please let us know if you have a pacemaker, or another electronic assisted medical devise as the Biomat produces PEMF's which may cause interference.

Cancellation Policy
Holistic Wellness Center requests that clients let us know as quickly as possible if they are unable to keep an appointment. Understand if there’s a pattern of late or no-show appointments, HWC will ask for pre-payment in order to receive service.
